Take the image we have of Jesus - of Jesus as the Shepherd. Taking that face and transposing it onto the face of every child we see, then we would ask ourselves, 'Would I turn that child away from the health care that child needs?'

This phrase always stuck with me ever since I first heard it and felt it to be true. I do feel the parent is the primary caregiver but I also believe that anyone who has regular contact with a child is obligated to help, teach, mentor or simply be availabe in a time of need for that child and family.
